No one wants to read poor or careless writing with spelling and grammar errors. Even worse, who wants to read bland and boring writing without personality. My past work experience coupled with graduate thesis work allows me to write in an array of styles, from scholarly to creatively with personality. See below...

My first non-academic published work was a six page feature story on my collection of tiny home stays in USA Today's HOME '22 issue. It was a challenging, yet fun experience outside of my day job. Pitching story ideas, interviewing sources to cite, and proofing were all parts of the project I'm quite proud of.

In contrast to the short-form writing involved with my full-time social media role, I took on a new challenge writing long-form stories for USA Today's publications. This provided a creative outlet to share some of my passions, like collecting tattoos from around the world.

An example of the most formal of my work, written within the strict scholarly limitations and approved by a national board. Now published and available across university search engines, my thesis on Parasocial relationships formed through social media can be used to look at social from a unique perspective.

Graduate Thesis

The social strategy team at RPA Advertising is responsible for crafting the agency's point of view on all things social. Although commonly used, hashtags are often abused. I took lead on RPA's strategic hashtag POV and wrote a useful piece for both colleagues and clients to reference. This exemplifies a business style of writing I am able to create.
